For months we had already been considering the idea of undertaking venture connected with gastronomy – the idea intrigued us – and we had been receiving quite a few proposals and ideas from our future clients, but one thing was still lacking for us to go ahead with the project: a location that was up to our standards.
In August of 2013, the possibility to buy a restaurant and pizzeria that we liked materialized. It is endowed – aside from the private parking lot – with a garden of Cypress and Pine trees, surrounded by hedges of Mediterranean thicket, with an external pavement of old Tuscan terracotta that extends to the edges of a small and elegant pool, and with a space for a Café area facing the green.
Inside, the restaurant is composed of one room divided into two areas and bordered for the most part by ample, removable, glass walls extending the welcome to the garden area where in the Summer the heat caresses the skin and, in the cool of the evening, is the only spot to enjoy a nice dinner.
In this context, the proposal that we had been bouncing around from the beginning was finally perfect. We could offer our guests a mix of simple, typical Suveretana cuisine with wines and produce from our rich and prized Valdicornia area.
To top it off, our Pizzeria is equipped with the King of the Pizza: his Majesty, the Wood-burning Stove, where chestnut, oak, heather and other woods from our brush are used to heat and add aroma and flavor to our tasty pizzas.
The last aspect - but not the least - comes from our oenological territory which is in constant growth and is marked by numerous national and international recognitions attributed to our growers for the marked quality of their red and white wines and their fine liquors.
